A Florida man has posted a video of what he claims is a Skunk Ape, the southern U.S. cousin of Bigfoot.

According to Huffington Post, Mike Falconer pulled over on the side of a road in Myakka State Park back in March because he thought he saw something walking through a field of tall grass. Others pull off the road as well to pull out cameras and document what all believe to be an elusive Skunk Ape. Falconer and his son can be seen chasing something through the field before he cuts the video in order to snap a picture of a dark figure retreating towards the trees.

Falconer admits he wasn’t searching for the fabled creature when he stopped, which is why the video and photographs were captured on his iPhone 4S. He says that he plans to carry a better camera with him in case that he comes across the Skunk Ape again.

We admit that our 50 Shades of Cray stories get a bit wild at times, but none so much as this story. This one is downright out of this world!

British politician Simon Parkes, who represents Stakesby on the Whitby Town Council, is claiming that not only has he fathered a lovechild named “Zarka” with an alien he calls the “Cat Queen” but also that his “real mother” was a 9ft tall, eight-fingered, green extraterrestrial. He also says that Cat Queen meet-ups that happen four times a year are causing troubles with his human wife and mother of his three human children.

“My wife found out about it and was very unhappy, clearly,” Parkes told UPI.com. “That caused a few problems, but it is not on a human level, so I don’t see it as wrong.”

He went on to describe how his encounters with the Cat Queen take place.

“What will happen is that we will hold hands and I will say ‘I’m ready’ and then the technology I don’t inderstand will take us up to a craft orbiting the earth.”

The driving instructor says that his experiences do not interfere with his ability to fulfill his public duties. He’s more interested in fixing potholes around town. However, the news comes as a shock to his colleagues who admit to “being completely in the dark about this.”

Bob Dylan ditched his microphone for an easel last Thursday (June 13) when he was spotted in Central Park, seemingly painting portraits of topless models lounging in the grass. The musician tagged along with artist pal Richard Prince for the outing, which has caused a bit of a stir.

While onlookers and art bloggers initially assumed Dylan was basing his work off the live models in front of him, it has been revealed that the inspiration behind his painting is actually a photo of Italian actress Sonia Aquino by fashion photographer Bruno Bisang. This comes over a year in the wake of his 2011 painting scandal, in which Dylan was confronted with the very same issue of basing his work off of existing photographs. Some even speculate as to whether Dylan even painted the latest work himself at all, or if Richard Prince might have lent an artistic hand. Critics of Dylan’s past shows addressed the probability of his work acting as social commentary rather than art, making the integrity of its originality irrelevant.a

Yesterday marks a historic day in Depeche Mode’s career. Twenty five years ago, on June 18, 1988, the British synth-pop band played the 101^st show of their Music For The Masses Tour to more than 65,000 fans at the famed Rose Bowl in Pasadena, Calif. But this show proved to be more special than any of the 100 before it. This show would be dubbed the “Concert for the Masses,” and go down as the band’s most indelible performance.

Thanks to Depeche Mode fan site DM TV Archives, an 18-minute short film was assembled from television news and personal footage boasting several never-before-seen and behind-the-scenes clips from the day of the Rose Bowl concert, which you can watch here.

“This will be a very big occasion for us,” said former member Alan Wilder in a pre-concert press conference (shown in the video). “Not only being the largest but also the most prestigious concert we’ve ever played as a headline act.”

Interviewed just prior to taking the stage, Martin Gore, the band’s chief songwriter admitted, “We’re quite nervous. It’s the biggest event… Biggest crowd we’ve ever played to.” But it is the 101st show [on the tour]. We’re quite rehearsed. We’re quite ready for it.”

According to keyboardist Andrew Fletcher, the band’s biggest audience to date had been 40,000. The Rose Bowl audience would dwarf that number by at least 25,000. The show coincided with the 10th anniversary of Los Angeles alternative station KROQ (a Radio.com station), which had been a longtime Depeche Mode supporter.

“Every other radio station in SoCal mocked us on the air saying, ‘Depeche Mode should be at the Palladium not at a stadium’ and in truth behind the scenes we were all nervous,” Richard Blade, a KROQ DJ at the time of the show, recounted to Radio.com. “I drove into the vast empty arena with Depeche Mode on an overcast February morning to announce the concert and the tickets on sale, and after the live broadcast had concluded I had breakfast with the band and Martin Gore confided in me that he was nervous and hoped they could at least sell out the floor seats – just 10,000 tickets.”
