At some point in their lives, all ladies have that problem. “Aunt Flo” comes to visit, and you’re blindsided with nothing in the bathroom cabinet to save you. The result ends up sending a young son on a traumatizing trip to the grocery store for “ladies’ supplies.”
Naama Bloom decided that if there can be beer of the month, jam of the month, and wine of the month clubs, then why not fill ladies’ monthy needs with a tampon of the month club? So she started HelloFlo, a subscription service that sends tampons and the like to women once a month. The brilliant entrepreneur started the service because she wasn’t satisfied with the way tampons and pads are packaged.
“For some reason, it’s just something that drives me crazy,” Bloom told UPI. “First of all, the product packaging is wrong — if you need overnight pads, you have to buy a whole box that’s going to last you all year. It seems so simple to just create a multi-pack that actually makes sense.”
