Jon Stewart Time Off From ‘Daily Show,’ To Direct

John Stewart will be taking an eight-week hiatus from The Daily Show with Jon Stewart beginning this June.

CNN is reporting that Comedy Central announced the hiatus on Tuesday. While Stewart is out, John Oliver, a correspondent on the show, will fill Stewart’s anchor chair.

Stewart is taking the time off to direct his first feature link film, Rosewater. The film is based on a script written by Stewart about about an Iranian journalist who was accused of being a spy. The script was based off a book about, Maziar Bahari.
