Having manual transmission saved one man’s Corvette in Florida.

The Huffington Post is reporting that two would be carjackers approached 51-year-old Randolph Bean, who was sitting in his yellow Corvette waiting for his wife to get out of work, with their guns drawn and forcing bean out of his car.

One of the men held Bean down while the other tried to start the car. After a few minutes of trying and failing the man screamed, “How do you start the car?”

“I had to tell him four different times to push in the clutch, because it’s a standard transmission,” Bean said.

Once the men found out the car was a stick they took Bean’s wallet, phone, and house keys then fled the scene.

The suspects are still at large.
