Some people call it the “throne,” others refer to it as their “thinking place,” some ladies call it the “powder room.” Whatever you call it, what once was private is now privy to social media.
Nielsen recently posted their annual “State of the Media: Social Media Report.” The study reports that a third of Americans aged 18-24 admit to posting social media statuses from the bathroom. More than the potty posters, 50% say they tweet from the office.
Toilet texting and surfing the web on mobiles phones is nothing new, Nielsen’s report shows that mobile social media is on the rise. According to the report, Americans spent 27 billion minutes on Facebook’s mobile app and 3.6 billion minutes using Twitter’s mobile app.
