In yet another cautionary tale of two Twitters, a tweet mistakenly sent out over the official Dallas Cowboys Twitter account prompted a quick quip from the Dallas Stars.
In response to a Tweet about Rangers pitchers and catcher reporting in six weeks, someone accidentally tweeted from the Dallas Cowboys official account: “Similarly in the category of nobody-cares…the NHL is back!”
The Dallas Stars wasted no time in firing back a tweet of their own.
At least our #9 got the job done..... RT:" @DallasCowboys Similarly in the category of nobody-cares…the NHL is back!" http://t.co/06y0e6iG

The tweet took a dig at the Cowboys’ #9 Tony Romo by posting a picture of Stars’ legend Mike Modano holding the Stanley Cup in 1999, saying “At least our #9 got the job done…..”
The Dallas Cowboys deleted the original tweet and quickly apologized to the Stars for the offending remark. The Stars graciously accepted the apology.
.@DallasStars our sincere apologies for the inappropriate tweet posted accidentally to our account. Good luck this season.
