Snakes On A Plane Director David R. Ellis Dies

Actor/Director/Stuntman David R. Ellis (60), best known for directing “Snakes on a Plane” has died.

Ellis’ manager, David Gardner, confirmed the death Monday after Ellis’ body was found in a Johannesburg, South Africa hotel room. Ellis was in South Africa working on the movie “Kite” which was to star Samuel L. Jackson.

Sam tweeted about the news.

Ellis also directed movies like “Shark Night 3D”, “The Final Destination” and “Cellular”. In David R. Ellis’ memory Jack thinks it’s time for a cheesy horror movie marathon.

Ellis is survived by his wife and three children.
