A man in the UK was reported missing after not contacting friends and family shortly after the new year. Twenty year old Dale Rowlison-Bates was last seen on New Year’s Day around 5:30am by some friends after a night of parting in Birmingham, U.K.

When Dale’s mom hadn’t heard from him in almost 24 hours she started to panic. Julie Rowlinson-Bates called police and even made a Facebook page to try and help find her son.

Turns out that little Rowlinson-Bates had met a nice lass and decided to ring in the new year with her at her place for a few days. Dale contacted his older brother around 4pm on January 2nd to finally end the search, which was utilizing about 50-police officers, according to the Huffington Post.

“He had been staying in Birmingham with a girl,” Julie Rowlinson-Bates said of offspring, “He obviously spent a day or so with the girl and then came home.”

That is the best excuse we’ve ever heard for an extended World Of Warcraft session.
