Lisa Whelchel, a Texas native who portrayed Blair Warner on The Facts Of Life and is a contestant on the current season of Survivor, has West Nile Virus.
The actress turned reality star reveled the illness on on Twitter earlier this week:
Dr. just called with blood test results…I have West Nile. Ugh. I'm fine, just tired. Takes a year to recover.

The 49-year-old is expecting a full recovery:

It is not known whether Whelchel contracted the disease while filming Survivor, or if she is one of the over 5,000 cases in the United States this year.
