Lady Gaga is back in the spotlight with new music! She was in Melbourne, Australia, and one fan recorded her while she played a new song that she entitled, “Princess Die”. We have the video for you and it is definitely something to look forward to with Gaga’s new album coming out soon!
Before starting the song, Gaga talks about what kind of song this is and how it represents her past. “I wrote it a little while ago, and I’ve never ever played it for anyone,” she told the crowd. “This song is a little sad. But it’s about some of the most deep and personal thoughts I’ve ever had. It’s called ‘Princess Die,’ D-I-E.”
The lyrics in this song prove that Gaga has been through some tough times, as we all know, but this song shows the true colors of her dark past. “Leave the coffin open when I go/And leave my pearls and lipstick on so everybody knows/Pretty will be the photograph I leave/Laying down on famous knives so everybody sees,” Gaga sang, adding such verses as “I wish that I was strong/I wish that I was wrong/I wish that I could cope, but I took pills and left a note.” The one line in the song that stood out was definitely “I’ll do it in the swimming pool so everybody sees.”
She also tells the crowd that this song may or may not be on her upcoming album. She later says that this song also does not reflect the way the rest of the music will sound on the album.
There are reports that Gaga will reveal the title of her new album sometime in September and her manager says that this album will be “insane”.
