From their third album Mellon Collie and the Infinite Sadness, the Smashing Pumpkins released this gem in May 1996. The video was inspired by the 1902 silent film A Trip to the Moon and took home six MTV Music Video Award in 1996, including Video of the Year. It was even nominated for Best Short Form Music Video at the 1997 Grammy Awards. 16 years later it still stands up as one of the greatest and most creative music videos of all time.
