If Paramount Pictures has its way, [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Justin Timberlake[/lastfm] could soon be running in slow-motion on a beach in a big-screen version of the famous TV show . 

According to Twitch, Paramount is reportedly wooing the singer-turned-actor for the lead in a comedic adaptation of Baywatch.  Producers say the role will be that of a disgraced former Olympic swimmer who tries out for the Baywatch crew.

The show, which starred David Hasselhoff and Pamela Anderson, was a huge syndicated hit in the ’90s, airing over 200 episodes in 11 seasons.

No word yet if Timberlake will actually accept the role.
