Have you always dreamed of eating the priciest burger in the world? Well now that dream can become a reality. Serendipity 3, in New York City, has unveiled it’s Le Burger Extravagant (French for “The Burger Extravagant”) and Guinness World Records has officially named it the most expensive burger in the world.
So just how much will this burger set you back?
The burger can be ordered 48 hours in advance, and it will run you $295 dollars.
It was invented in honor of National Hamburger Month, and it features a patty of Japanese Waygu beef infused with 10-herb white truffle butter and seasoned with Salish Alderwood smoked Pacific sea salt. It’s topped with cheddar cheese, hand-made and cave-aged for 18 months by famed cheese-maker James Montgomery of Somerset, England. There are also shaved black truffles, a fried quail egg, a blini, creme fraiche, Kaluga caviar and a white truffle-buttered Campagna roll.
After eating your burger you can pick your teeth with the solid gold “Fleur de Lis” toothpick, encrusted with diamonds, designed by world-renowned jeweler Euphoria New York that comes with the burger.
This would probably be an absurd item for most restaurants to add to their menu, but Serendipity already has a $1,000 sundae, and a $69 hot dog.
