It’s a bird!  It’s a plane!  It’s a… plane door?!

Earlier this week in Florida, a plane door detached in mid-air and landed in an unusual place:  a golf course.

Witnesses told WSVN-TV the door blew off and fell in between two condominium high-rises before hitting the ground and skidding to a stop on a fairway at the Westin Diplomat Hotel and Spa.

Luckily, the course was closed for maintenance at the time, and no one was injured.

The passenger plane later landed safely at the Fort Lauderdale-Hollywood International Airport.
