Man Surgically Attaches iPod To His Arm
Dave Hurban, a 21-year-old tattoo artist from New Jersey, decided he couldn’t live with out is iPod.
The only logical solution? Have it surgically attach it to your wrist.
CBS Houston is reporting that after a bit of research of outrageous piercings, Hurban decided that his iPod Nano 6 should be permanently attached to his body. He is the first to make such a decision, but I bet the first guy to cut the legs off his pants to make shorts looked pretty silly too.
Hurban, who has worked in the piercing industry for over three years, used the same technique he would on a client, and mapped out the placement on his arm for four magnet derrmals. Now the iPod just snaps right into it’s built-in holder.
The procedure took less than 30 minutes, and according to Hurban it took only two weeks to heal.
“It feels like I’m wearing a watch,” Hurban said. “You get used to it. It’s like when you wear the same ring all the time. It can get knocked off if you bump it too hard.”
What happens when the latest iPod is released?
Hurban could care less. He uses it more for the watch feature. “If I think it’s awesome, then that’s it,” he said. “That’s all I really care about.”
