In 1989, The Cult released their fourth studio album, Sonic Temple.  The follow-up to the critically-acclaimed Electric, Sonic Temple was the British band’s most successful album in the U.S., peaking at No. 10 on the Billboard 200 and selling over a million copies.

The album’s first single, “Fire Woman,” was a crossover hit.  It went to No. 2 on the Modern Rock Tracks chart and to No. 46 on the Hot 100.

On May 22, The Cult will release a new album, Choice of Weapon.
