Seriously, you should be happy.  It’s Friday!!!

In 1988, Bobby McFerrin released the single “Don’t Worry, Be Happy.”  It was a huge commercial hit for the Manhattan-based singer, spending two weeks at No. 1 and becoming the first a cappella song to reach the top of the Billboard charts.  “Don’t Worry, Be Happy,” whose title came from a famous quote by Indian mystic Meher Baba, also won three Grammy Awards, including one for Song of the Year.

The memorable music video starred McFerrin and comedic actors Robin Williams and Bill Irwin.
