Aerosmith Tour Details Emerge: Making A Stop In Dallas
The Aerosmith summer tour will kick off in June 18th, and they are making a stop right here in Dallas.
Steven Tyler says, “The old Aerosmith is back with a new vengeance.”
Aerosmith will be at American Airlines Center on Saturday, July 28 at 8:05pm. Tickets will go on sale March 31st.
The tour was announced in a press release for Milwaukee’s Summerfest where the band will play July 7th. Cheap Trick is the opening act on the first leg of the tour.
Steven Tyler has spent some time in the past few years working on what he referred to as “Brand Tyler”: he released one solo single last year “(It) Feels So Good,” and is currently in the midst of his second season as a judge on American Idol. But Tyler, who briefly parted ways with the band (they didn’t tour or record without him) appears excited to be working with the band again, judging by his tweets, including this one:

Meanwhile, Perry, who was at one point unhappy with Tyler’s decision to join Idol‘s judging panel, surprised Tyler at last week’s episode to play “Happy Birthday” for his longtime bandmate. Afterwards, he tweeted about the experience:

The tour kicks off June 16 in Minneapolis at the Target Center and the first leg of the tour goes through early August. Tickets go on sale March 30 and 31, at Ticketmaster and Live Nation’s websites.
Beginning on Thursday, March 29, however, fans that visit www.livenation.com/aerosmith and RSVP to the presale will have early access to tickets.
There is a chance some of the new material from the band will be featured during their tour.
Bassist Tom Hamilton said in the Summerfest release that fans might get a preview of the new material live. “After touring Japan and South America last year we’re psyched about bringing it all back for the hometown fans,” he said. ” We’re going to break out the classics, the hits and maybe even some of the new ones we’ve been banging out in the studio.”
