The Black Keys Apologize To Nickelback For Calling Them S***
[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]The Black Keys[/lastfm] have apologized to [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Nickelback[/lastfm], for some insulting comments they made earlier this year. Maybe now this feud between Nickelback and The Black Keys can be settled.
They added, “There’s much worse bands.”
Although it is hard to see the apology as sincere considering the band broke out into fits of laughter while asking for forgiveness.
Drummer Patrick Carney said, “I didn’t mean to single them out, it just came out. There’s much worse bands that Nickleback…maybe. That was the worst apology.”
Carney had previously told Rolling Stone, “Rock & roll is dying because people became ok with Nickleback being the biggest band in the world.”
“So they became OK with the idea that the biggest rock band in the world is always going to be s*** – therefore you should never try to be the biggest rock band in the world. F*** that. Rock & roll is the music I feel the most passionately about, and I don’t like to see it f***ing ruined and spoon-fed down our throats in this watered-down, post-grunge crap, horrendous s***. When people start lumping us into that kind of s***, it’s like, ‘F*** you’, honestly,” he added.
Nickelback did fire back on twitter with the some sarcastic humor tweeting, ” Thanks to the drummer in The Black Keys calling us the Biggest Band in the World in Rolling Stone. Hehe.”
Maybe this apology will settle this fued between the two bands, but ,as Carney states in the interview below, they may want to avoid Nickelback’s Chad Kroeger if they don’t want to get punched in the face.
