General Hospital that is.

[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Rick Springfield[/lastfm] is returning to the soap opera that helped make him a multi-media star.

According to his website, the singer-actor will resume his role of Dr. Noah Drake in several March episodes of General Hospital. He’s also got a prime-time gig lined up. Look for Rick playing a “modified version of himself ” on the sitcom Hot in Cleveland later this season.

He’s still making music, too.

On his Facebook page, Springfield posted a picture from a recent recording session with [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Dave Grohl[/lastfm] of [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] and producer [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Butch Vig[/lastfm]. Rick says he’ll be recording material for his next album during March.
