When you think of what to eat in Dallas, very rarely does Vietnamese sandwiches come to mind, but Nammi is trying to change that. And I have to say they are doing a pretty good job of it.
They’re bringing Vietnamese Fusion to Dallas serving up banh mi, Vietnamese tacos, spring rolls and much more.
Nammi has great food, and its owned by two great people (who used to be architects) who showed Jack’s Foodie one hell of a good time.
We hit up Nammi to try their Vietnamese Fusion menu, mainly the Banh Mi (otherwise known as Vietnamese Sandwiches). These 12″ sandwiches are fit for kings, but thankfully are much more affordable. They are packed full of cucumbers, pickled daikons & carrots, jalapenos, and cilantro. It’s served up on a 12″ Baguette that is smeared in a delightful garlic mayonnaise and your choice of meat.
[photogallerylink id=97898 align=right]The meats include Grilled Pork, Lemongrass Chicken, and Vietnamese Veggie Tofu. We were lucky enough to try the BBQ Pork and the Lemongrass Beef. The Lemongrass Beef was danced off our tongue and down into my belly. The beef was seasoned beautifully and the combination of the beef, jalapenos, and that garlic mayonnaise is the stuff of legend,
he real Pièce de resistance on the Nammi menu however is the BBQ Pork Banh Mi sandwich. I’m telling you go eat this sandwich, you won’t know how you ever lived your life without it. It is one of the most incredible things that you will eat. You need to eat this sandwich.
Eat at Nammi, it will be one of the best decisions you will make, well for lunch anyway.
