In what has to be one of the stranger claims heard recently, Hulk Hogan is saying that he was almost a member of Metallica.

I wonder if Fade To Hogan or Enter Hulkman would have been as big of hits?

The Sun talked to the former World Wrestling champion recently, and he claims that he almost joined an early version of Metallica.

Hogan, who has a reality series Hogan Knows Best, said that he and Lars Ulrich, Metallica’s drummer, used to be great friends.

Hogan said, “I used to be a session musician before I was a wrestler. I played bass guitar. I was big pals with Lars Ulrich and he asked me if I wanted to play bass with Metallica in their early days but it didn’t work out.”

Just think how different the world might have turned out if this had happened. There would be no Hulkamania, the world would never have known the greatness of the Hulk Hogan Thunder Mixer, Mr. Nanny may have never been made. Thankfully we don’t live in that alternate reality.
