Let the speculation continue! The London Evening Standard suggests that [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Pink Floyd[/lastfm] will make an appearance at the Olympics.
“Its long been made clear it would take something very special to get Pink Floyd back together again and it doesn’t get any bigger than the Olympics,” the story quotes a supposed “insider.”
“Like Sir Paul,” the story continues, “they have been a major part of the nation’s culture over the past 40 years and it will be very fitting that they’re involved when London is on show to the world. It’s hoped everything can be confirmed in the coming weeks.”
This past year, Roger Waters, Nick Mason and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]David Gilmour[/lastfm] were united onstage for a brief period during a Waters’ solo gig. The last time the band appeared under the Pink Floyd name was in 2005 for a Live 8 charity show.
