Dave Grohl Collaborates With 80’s Metal Gods Ratt
[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Foo Fighters[/lastfm] front-man, Dave Grohl, has recorded a song with members of [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Ratt[/lastfm].
This is the most exciting news we have heard at Jack since someone told us the meaning of the word Batrachomyomachy.
Ratt’s [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Stephen Pearcy[/lastfm] and[lastfm link_type=”artist_info”] Warren Demartini[/lastfm] have teamed up with Grol to record a new song. According to Noise Creep it is appart of Grohl’s new project which is currently being reffered to as “TBA“.
Foo Fighters have recently said they will head back into the studio to record a new album this year. The band released their latest studio album, “Wasting Light“, less than a year ago, but they appear to be already back to work on another.
Dave Grohl recently wrote in the band’s offical blog that, “We’re not finished yet. There are still more shows to play, more songs to write, more albums to record, for years to come. I mean if you would have told me 17 years ago that in 2012 I would be writing songs for our eight studio album…well.”
And were excited that the eighth effort involves a beloved 80’s metal legend like Ratt. Maybe we can keep adding on to this momentum and get bands like [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]W.A.S.P.[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Tesla[/lastfm], and [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Quiet Riot[/lastfm] in the mix. It probably won’t happen, but we can all dream though.
Foo Fighters were nominated for six awards, including Album Of The Year for “Wasting Light” at the 54th annual Grammy Awards, which will be held on February 12th at 7:00 on CBS.
