[lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Gene Simmons[/lastfm] seems to have some pretty strong opinions on [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Guns N’ Roses[/lastfm], and more specifically their front man [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Axl Rose[/lastfm].

Telling Music-News.com that, “Guns N’ Roses could have been the best band in the world and the reason they’re not is because of Axl Rose.” Ouch!

In the interview Simmons states that drugs, heroin, and alcohol were problems for GNR, but ulitmately, “it falls on Axl Rose’s shoulders.”

Gene’s solution to Axl’s attitude problem, “A good beating would have helped.” The [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kiss [/lastfm]frontman continued, “When you misbehaved as a little kid there’s someone there to give you a what for. Then when you become a grown-up who’s there to set you straight?”

Recently Axl has blamed Guns N’ Roses’ problem of showing up late or skipping shows on former guitarist [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Slash[/lastfm] and on the band’s management.

Meanwhile as Mr. Simmons trashes another band’s front-man, former Kiss guitarist [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Ace Frehley[/lastfm] has been slinging mud Gene‘s way, claiming the bassist is a sex addict.
