We know, you’re probably getting sick of the [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Kings of Leon[/lastfm] news in light of their cancelled show here in Dallas, but an upcoming documentary set to air in two weeks sheds light on the internal struggle within the band.
The documentary titled “Talihina Sky” is set to premiere on Showtime on Sunday, August 21.
According to rollingstone.com, the show offers an inside look of the band in the recording studio and on the road.

The film also features some intimate family moments including a rare on-camera interview with the brother’s father Ivan, a onetime Pentecostal preacher who hasn’t really approved of his son’s career path.
The films director and the band’s longtime friend Stephen C. Mitchell was allowed access to family functions, inside the recording studio, and on the road to amass over 700 hours of footage.
Mitchell refused to comment on the current state of the band, but he did take a little shot at the band’s haters.
“I don’t think people realize how hard these kids work,” Mitchell said. “One incident, and all the haters wanna start throwing rocks.”
He continued by saying, “One thing I hope comes out in the film is that these guys are a family first. They’re going to keep that focus in place. And they’re gonna be back, and back better than ever.”
No, no Kings of Leon music videos today, but we will share with you all a little Q&A session with members Jared and Matthew Followill thanks to Digital Spy. Enjoy…
