The year was 1990, the band was [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Faith No More[/lastfm], and the song was “Epic”… literally. So, what in the world has frontman Mike Patton been up to? How about lending his pipes for video games.

Faith No More lead singer Mike Patton recently sat down with Rolling Stone online to discuss his newest venture — voicing a staring role in the upcoming The Darkness II video game.

“They wanted some kind of otherworldly voice, basically screaming and narration, and I thought, that’s kind of in my wheelhouse,” Patton said.

If you remember Faith No More’s singles “Epic” and “Midlife Crisis” then you know exactly what he is talking about.

Of course, the discussion would turn to his thoughts on Faith No More’s future.

Patton says the band will play a humanitarian festival in Brazil in November, their first time on stage since a successful tour last year.

“Reunions can be done very distastefully I think, and we were all very worried about that. But I think we were all very surprised with how good it felt,” Patton said.

Patton added there are no plans for a return to the recording studio, and they’re just taking it slow.

The band called it quits in 1998, but got back together in 2009 for a series of European festivals.

Patton is currently working on a couple classical records and a new album with is alt-metal group [lastfm link_type=”artist_info”]Tomahawk[/lastfm].

Personally, we’d love a Faith No More reunion here in the states, but that’s just us.

We think you’ll agree when we take you back to the early 90s with the before mentioned “Epic” single and how about we include “From Out Of Nowhere” as a bonus. Oh yeah, you’re quite welcome. Enjoy…
