Okay, we know it’s been a short week but IT’S ONLY WEDNESDAY!! We don’t know about you but we here at Jack are ready for the weekend and to get us in the “weekendy” kinda mood, we made [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Kid Rock[/lastfm]‘s new single ‘God Bless Saturday’ our song of the day!

The latest album from Mr. Rock, ‘Born Free’, was released last November and it is his first album not to include a Parental Advisory sticker. This is a straight Rock ‘N Roll album, Rock has stated.

Even though it is a rock album, he has received help from many different people from many different genres to help him during recording. The album features [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Martina McBride[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]T.I.[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Sheryl Crow[/lastfm], [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Bob Seger[/lastfm] and [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Zac Brown[/lastfm]!

The album has been a success for the Michigan native. It has reached #1 on the U.S. Billboard Top Rock Albums chart and was #16 on Rolling Stone’s list of 30 Best Albums of 2010!
