Prince Brings His Purple-Ness To Dallas
The weekend of February 4th is set to be an eventful one not only because of the Super Bowl but also because [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Prince[/lastfm] is coming to Dallas to play a special benefit gig.
This gig is called “The Event Tent Complex” and is going to be held on the grounds that was once home to Reunion Arena on Reunion Boulevard.
The Event Tent Complex, according to The Dallas Observer, will be a night of music, art, food, culture and a special performance by [lastfm link_type="artist_info"]Prince[/lastfm] himself. All of this takes place at 8pm on February 4th.
This event is a benefit for the The Goss-Michael Foundation, which encourages the talents of young artists and provides grants and scholarships throughout the country. And SINCE this a charity event, tickets start at $1,500 and go up to $25,000 for VIP treatments. WOW…hope you got some pennies saved up for this one!
We’ve scoured the net for ticket info and have come up with nothing yet on purchasing tickets. However, check out the press release here for further info.
Here’s a little clip of The Purple One’s performance at the 2007 Super Bowl Half-Time show.
